Call for Submissions, 360° Dance Company -180EWorks

 

360° Dance Company introduces 180°EWorks

180°EWorks is a showcase to provide dancemakers of all levels of experience a setting in which to share their emerging works. In the intimate setting of the Mary Anthony Dance Studio (736 Broadway @ Astor Pl), the dancemakers will have the opportunity to present their works in progress and engage in conversation with the audience and each other after the showing to discuss the works presented.

In this initial showcase we are looking for 5-6 artists (established or emerging) and the works should be no more than 10 minutes in length, works could be performed in costumes or rehearsal clothes

Submissions are open to all and free. If chosen there is participation fee of $60.

Selected artists will be awarded up to 6 hours of reduced-rate rehearsal time leading up to the showings. There will be two shows; 8pm Friday 8/1 and Saturday 8/2 
Tech/spacing rehearsals will be Thursday 7/31 6-9pm (20min each work)
Tickets for the event will be $10. Each dancemaker is expected to sell a minimum of 4 tickets.

To apply, send a bio, short synopsis of your idea and an online link to rehearsal clips of the proposed work.
