pushing progress seeks 2 dancers for 2014-2015 Professional Development Program
Pushing progress is seeking 2 dancers for their Professional Development Program. This 8 month program is designed to give consist conditioning and technical training while creating and developing your own career path in real time. Dancers in this program have the technique and maturity for a professional career and are looking for clarity and guidance on what direction to take their career as well as access to the professional network of companies and artists in NYC Contemporary dance.
Monday through Friday the schedule consists of Yoga, Contemporary Mechanics, Ballet, jazz technique, Improvisational Systems, GYROKINESIS®, Conditioning, Anatomy, Approach to Performance and Artistry. The program will also include specialized goal-setting and self-study days spent identifying, creating and developing your career in real time with the NYC contemporary community.
You are:
Looking to enter the contemporary dance world
Have a solid technical base in ballet, contemporary and modern.
Preferably have your BFA in dance or have had comparable dance training/professional dance experience
The pushing progress training program is based on a foundation of self-discovery and self-development:
You are:
Self-motivated and intrigued by who you are and what your purpose is on the planet.
Take responsibility for yourself and your actions and are coach able
Ready to take your confidence and communication to the next level
This is an incredible opportunity to work with some of the top dancers, choreographers and artists in the NYC dance community.
