Ariel Rivka Dance seeks two female dancers for paid company positions (rehearsals paid hourly, performance stipend), and one female apprentice with the possibility of future promotion to full company member. The initial rehearsal period will run from November 2014 through May 2015, with performances Jan 9-11 for the APAP Conference in NYC, May 28-31 for ARD's annual New York City Performance Season at New York Live Arts, and other festival and touring opportunities.  Rehearsals for the NYLA season will be two times per week, 2-4 hours per session, with tech and dress running Tuesday May 26 and Wedneday May 27.  Further details will be released upon workshop/audition registration.

Interested dancers should have very strong modern and ballet technique and should be mature, commanding performers; we want excellent technicians who can really move!  We enjoy a fun and productive working environment, and a positive, enthusiastic and professional attitude is vital.  We are looking for versatile and creative artists who will be committed, long-term company members. All ethnicities are welcome and encouraged.  

Auditions are by appointment only and will take place on Saturday November 15th, with callbacks the same day. There are two Pre-Audition Technique and Repertory Workshops on Thursday November 13th from 5-7 and Friday November 14th from 3-5.  The workshops will feature an abbreviated class taught by members of ARD, followed by repertory work with Artistic Director Ariel Grossman and the company.  The cost of each workshop is $25 ($45 for both), and both sessions will cover different material for the audition and provide an invaluable extra opportunity for the company to get to know potential dancers. Attendance at one or both workshops is not required but is definitely recommended! Pre-registration is required. Space is limited so register early to guarantee a spot!
