Auditions for The ChristmApocalypse (New York FRIGID Festival)

 

Critically acclaimed theatre company Brain Melt Consortium is currently seeking Non-Union dancers who act for its dark christmas fairy tale, The ChristmApocalypse, performing as part of the 2015 Frigid Festival.

Written & directed by Rachel Kerry, The ChristmApocalypse merges devised movement, twisted Christmas Carols, and post-apocalyptic imagery to create a deliciously dark yuletide multimedia experience.

Auditions will be held by appointment only on Friday, January 2nd from 7-10PM and Saturday January 3rd from 2-5PM.

Seeking performers of all ethnicities, shapes, sizes, and ages. Must be comfortable with devised theatre and movement work. Please bring a headshot and resume to the audition. Sides will be provided.

Rehearsals will begin January 19th and run through Mid-February. Performance dates are 2/18th at 8:50PM, 2/24th at 5:30PM, 3/2nd at 5:30PM, 3/5th at 10:30PM, 3/7th at Noon. Must be available for all performances.

Brain Melt Consortium is a theatre and multimedia production group interested in creating projects that engage audiences in new and evocative ways. Its shows have been produced in The New York International Fringe, FRIGID New York, and the Edinburgh International Festival Fringe. Additionally, BMC has produces staged readings, interactive concept parties, web series, and the monthly surreal comedy/variety show Pop Culture Fondue.
