Ballet for Young Audiences seeks male and female dancers for fall/winter season. Paid positions.

Ballet for Young Audiences is seeking classically trained male and female dancers for its 30th season. This season includes performances of our productions of The Nutcracker and Cinderella.

The audition will take place Sunday, September 20th from 3-6 pm.

Preferred heights:
Men 5'6" and taller
Women 5'4" and shorter

$350+/week for 2 weeks + tour per diem

The season will consist of 2 weeks of work:
1) a tour to North Carolina From November 28th to December 5th 
2) a week of NYC performances, December 13-18.
There will be a rehearsal period consisting of 
Sunday evening, Monday morning, and Tuesday morning rehearsals.
Rehearsals begin Sunday, October 4th and go through Tuesday, November 24th.
There is a travel stipend for attended rehearsals.

Ballet for Young Audiences is a unique company dedicated to the introduction of dance to new audiences. It seeks to make dance accessible to young people from all backgrounds, including those who would otherwise never have the opportunity to see ballet performed live. BYA presents full stage productions, fully narrated to ensure understanding of the dance vocabulary for newer audiences.
