DANCERS AUDITION ON MONDAY NOVEMBER 23rd AT LPAC AT 6 PM

After a 2-month audition process and observing over 50 applicants, we have chosen the 6 participants for the Emerging Choreographer Series 2016 (ECS#3). Congratulations to Rohan Bhargava, Tony Bordonaro, Marissa Brown, Jacqueline Dugal, Pavel Machuca and Natalia Roberts.
ECS 2016 will also feature works by Kris Seto (2015 Alumni Choreographer) in collaboration wit Shoey Sun, Alessia Guaglianone (selected during the Alto Jonio Dance Choreographer Workshop in Italy) and Henry Holmes (guest choreographer, also from ECS#2).


We are now seeking male and female dancers in different styles to join us in this journey. Dancers can audition for more than one choreographer/style.

TIME: 6-10pm
PLACE: Little Theater @ LaGuardia Performing Arts Center
(LaGuardia Community College-CUNY)

DIRECTIONS: 7 Train to 33/Rawson or E/M/R to Queens Plaza

Rehearsal start date: Monday, January 4, 2016
Performances: Monday February 22 & Tuesday February 23, 2016
PAID POSITION

Choreographer: Marissa Brown
Style: Contemporary.
Seeking: 1 male dancer.
Notes: Physical dancer, solid ballet and or modern training, unique mover.
 
Choreographer: Jacqueline Dugal
Style: Dance theatre/contemporary modern.
Seeking: Diverse group of men & women.
Notes: Must be comfortable with improvisation, floor work, and partnering. Dancers who are comfortable speaking on stage are a plus. Actors with some dance experience are also encouraged to audition if interested. 

Choreographer: Pavel Machuca

Style: Physical theater.
Seeking: 4 dancers; either gender.
Notes: Must be comfortable with process-oriented development; plus (but not required) groundwork.

Choreographer: Natalia Roberts
Style: Ballet, Contemporary, Hip-Hop and Saturday-night-dance-circle dancing.
Seeking: A few dancers, male and female. 
Notes: Dancers with great stage presence, lots of personality, and a spunky, happy demeanor. May be require to partner or improv, so should be comfortable with both of these! Dancers predisposed to dancing around alone in their living room are particularly welcome.

Style: Contemporary fusion.
Seeking: Smart dancers (male and female) who are in tune with their bodies and their creative impulses.  
Notes: We're looking for strong performers who have the capacity as artists to make interesting choices as well as deliver a range of intentions and emotions.
