SLD will be auditioning pre-professional/professional freelance dancers to perform in a DUET premiering in their 7th performance season; June 1st-June 5th at The Hudson Guild Theater in Chelsea, NYC. 

Sans Limites Dance (SLD) is a New York City dance company led by Artistic Director Diana Pettersen. Rooted in the belief that dance should be accessible to all, SLD endeavors to present works that elicit a visceral response from audience members through stark movement and intimate gestures. As lead choreographer, Pettersen creates works that are at once relatable and challenging, ranging from deep explorations of the human psyche to whimsical imaginings of otherworldly spheres. Sans Limites Dance is a project-based company. Instead of working with a core group of dancers on a consistent basis, SLD auditions dancers for each of its choreographic works so that performers and pieces bring out the best in each other.

Interested dancers must submit an e-mail to INFO@SANSLIMITESDANCE.COM including : (1) a brief bio, (2) PDF attachment of current resume (3) general weekly availability & (4) a dance reel or any video link (youtube or vimeo) showcasing proficency in ballet/modern/contemporary movement-based work.

After reviewing online submissions, a select number of dancers will be invited to an in-person callback audition on Monday, March 14th at 6:15PM at Gibney Dance (Lower Manhattan). Selected dancers from callback audition will be compensated with rehearsal/performance stipend.
