DANCERS NEEDED FOR SHORT FILM EXPERIMENTAL - PHILADELPHIA, PA
Ego Vivere Intra is an experimental film that explores the effect of the ego on its host and the personal revolution the host must endure to overcome self-delusions through four dance/performance art pieces influenced by the works of Pina Bausch, Marina Abramovic & Sasha Waltz.
Alexa Carroll is an aspiring cinematographer who has worked on both coasts doing various camera and grip & electric work. Previous clients include Adult Swim, Levi’s, Diane von Fürstenberg, Kohler, Quaker Oats & NBC.
We are seeking 10 – 12 contemporary dancers, this is a paid position.
Shoot dates are specific to each piece:
Saturday April 2nd
Sunday April 3rd
Saturday April 9th
Back Up Dates (April Dates are weather dependent):
Saturday April 9th
Sunday April 10th
Saturday April 16th
Dancers should be:
– Able to demonstrate advanced contemporary technique
– Able to interpret and perform a variety of movement styles
– Skilled at learning choreography quickly and accurately
– Very comfortable improvising
– Available for 2-3 hours of rehearsal a week for a month prior to April dates
How to Apply:
Auditions will be held at the Van R Ballroom on Drexel University's Campus (3320 Powelton Avenue) on:
Sunday March 6th, 11:00am - 12:00pm
Tuesday March 8th, 7:30pm - 8:30 pm
