Dancers wanted for Columbia University MFA Thesis Film
Seeking male and female dancers/performance artists interested in exploring movement within the context of progressive metal. This opportunity will entail collaborating with the director, choreographer, and lead actor to create a three-minute sequence that creatively simulates crowd movement at a metal show.
At its essence, the film is a surreal portrait of a young metal musician.
There will likely be two rehearsals before production. The sequence will be shot within a music venue in New York City for one day during the weekend of March 11-13, 2016.
The style of dance is quite open, but the work of Saburo Teshigawara is a reference.
If interested, contact us at grippingnothingfilm@gmail.com and please tell us about your dance and/or choreographic experience. If you have a CV and links to work that can be viewed, please send those as well.
