Dancewave Seeks African Dance Teaching Artist

 

JOB DESCRIPTION: Dancewave seeks an African Dance Teaching Artist for grade school students. The right candidate will have experience in a public school setting, be highly organized and have strong class management skills. This is an exciting and rewarding position for a dancer who wants to engage with local and under served communities! Teaching Artist must be willing and able to travel, DWave in Motion residencies take place in all NYC boroughs.

 

Schedule: Teaching artists must be available during the following dates and times:

 

Tuesdays, Wednesdays from 9am-1:40pm

Start Date: April 19th

End Date: June 7th

 

    

ABOUT DWAVE IN MOTION: Dancewave brings high quality arts education residencies based on NYC standards and best practices. We offer New York City schools the opportunity to craft a dance specific arts in education program customized to meet the needs of their school curriculum and students abilities through the DWave in Motion program.

Our school residencies encompass a variety of dance genres and are offered both within school hours and/or during after school programs. Our DWave in Motion program is available year-round and can last anywhere from a one-day workshop/master class to a year-long residency.
