Renegade Performance Group seeks a Technical Assistant to work directly with artistic director André M. Zachery on production, recording and archiving. Audio production will be under the direction of RPG composer/sound artist Jeremy Toussaint-Baptiste. RPG seeks a candidate interested in developing skills in media and technology across disciplines with a focus on contemporary Black culture.

Renegade Performance Group is a Brooklyn-based performance company founded in 2007, exploring Black artistic aesthetics and expressions through dance theatre, site-specific performance, and technological media. Under artistic director André M. Zachery, Renegade Performance Group seeks collaborative efforts on projects with artists of all genres that stretch performance presentation beyond the capacities of theatrical form.

This is a part-time position with the possibility of leading to a permanent title.  A weekly meeting will be held once a week for one hour along with a monthly stipend of $100.  Duties will start immediately.  This is a terrific opportunity for committed professionals interested in building relationships with leading figures in the New York City, national and international dance/arts community.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Video + Film + Projection + Audio Production
Video + Audio editing
Programming (MAX MSP/Jitter, Isadora, QLab)
Record performances, workshops, classes and events
Installation of production equipment in performance and event venues
Archiving recorded material
