Graphic Design Internship at Dancewave!

 
Dancewave- Transforming Lives Through Dance

Dancewave seeks a Graphic Design Intern to assist the Design & Marketing Associate in the execution of appealing design materials for the organization. This internship offers an excellent opportunity to gain real, hands on experience in a non-profit arts organization. We are seeking an individual who will be dedicated to dance education and connecting our mission to the Brooklyn community and the city at large. Skills cultivated under the guidance of the Dancewave directors during this internship will assist students or recent graduates interested in Arts and Graphic Design.

 

Responsibilities:

• Preparing print materials, brochures, banners, postcards, business cards, etc. in accordance with our brand identity guidelines

• Creating Campaign Designs & Branding Logos, Marketing Materials, etc.

• Assist in editing of documents prior to publication/distribution

• Produce Campaign Designs via Constant Contact

 

Requirements:

• Highly detail oriented; Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Positive and professional demeanor, flexible, can-do attitude

• Interest in Dancewave’s mission and commitment to serving youth

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point)

• Extremely proficient in Adobe Suite, specifically Illustrator and InDesign

• Strong design style and a portfolio showcasing it! (Required)

• Basic knowledge of HTML & Wordpress; An eye for typography

 

Commitment: 6 months minimum at 20-25 hours per week

Start Date: ASAP

Compensation: Monthly transportation stipend available.
