In Good Company

Are you a NY-based Tap Dance Company or Choreographer? Are you tired of footing the bill to perform? Are you forced to tap dance on surfaces that aren’t really meant for tap dancing or even being told tap/percussive dance is not welcome?  After having encountered this for the last few years, Anthony Lo Cascio, Artistic Director for #Taplife Company, feels that is not acceptable and that we, as a dance community, could and should do better.

#Taplife Company has produced its own show, “Sound of a #Taplife”, on the Friday night of the Big Apple Tap Festival to sold out audiences for the past two years.  Since the show has proven to be a hit 2018 is the time to invite other NY-based tap companies to join the performance!  There will be a stipend, dependent on the length of the material performed and a real wood dance floor provided.

We are actively seeking submissions now.  Click this link to submit now or cut and paste tiny.cc/goodcompanyform into your browser. For more information, please contact us via the email address listed or visit our website.  There is a limit to the number of companies that will be accepted, so don’t wait to submit! The show will be presented at the Riverside Theatre on November 9, 2018.
