ALB Seeking Male And Female Ballet Dancers For MultiMedia Production of Giselle

Dance For Film Project In The Making

American Liberty Ballet is working on a multimedia presentation of Giselle to begin filming in April.
While everything is still a work in progress, the general plan is to create two versions as dance for film. One, set to the classical score with all original choreography which nods to the work of Marius Petipa. The other is a modern day take on the story using a variety of more modern music. This version will step outside the lines of the original story to discuss the topic of "Father Hunger" or paternal absence and how it influences young women, eating disorders, and suicide. We will film both and lace them together as though they are two parallel universes. We will present both live on stage with the other playing behind on screen. Again! All still ideas in the making.

We are looking for strong classically trained dancers to join us in thuis project, and hopefully for longer.

The Audition will be held on Saturday February 24th from 2-330pm at ALB Studios 540 39th St Union City NJ 07087

Dancers will be required to attend weekly company class (Sat 2-330) and rehearsal (Sat 330-6). Filming will also be on Saturdays.
