Cora Dance seeks an Event Assistant for the Red Hook Community Prom, STARTING IMMEDIATELY.


Job Details:
Assist Operations Manager with the following -
- Securing sponsorships and rentals
- Coordinating timeline of events with event staff
- Coordinating pickup for donations
- Securing volunteers
- Set-up and break-down of the space


Hours:
- Approx. in office 10-15 / week, starting immediately - June 3rd
- Additional remote hours, if needed
- Must be available all day Friday, June 1 - Sunday, June 3rd (event on June 2nd)


Payment:
$1,100 flat fee

Back by popular demand, Cora Dance once again presents its beloved annual RETRO high-school-prom-themed kick-ass throwback dance party: THE RED HOOK COMMUNITY PROM (formerly RED HOOK PROM). Produced by Cora Dance THE RED HOOK COMMUNITY PROM takes place Saturday, June 2 from 7pm-Midnight at South Brooklyn Community High School, 173 Conover St, in Red Hook, Brooklyn.

What began as a community-wide spirit lifter after Hurricane Sandy has grown into a hot, sweaty, sassy-outfit sporting, fly-move PAY-WHAT-YOU-CAN THROWDOWN FOR THE ENTIRE COMMUNITY! This year’s Prom kicks off Cora Dance’s 20th Anniversary Season in NYC and to celebrate, we'll be dancing all night long! Prom festivities include food and drinks by local merchants, a silent auction and of course, lots of dancing for a party that’ll rock you like it’s 1999!
