OPEN COMPANY POSITION

Description: Boston Dance Theater (BDT) has 1 open Company Position (self-identified woman) for our 2018/19 season. Contract start date - September 3, 2018. Residencies in Boston with choreographers September and November 2018. Performances at Institute of Contemporary Art (November/December 2018) and Salem State University (January 2019). Paid Independent Contractor Position.

BDT is committed to the creation and performance of new contemporary dance works of socio-political relevance from established and emerging dance makers. This season we are looking for an experienced soloist dancer with strong classical and contemporary background and professional performance experience. Current repertory includes works by: Itzik Galili, Sidra Bell, Yin Yue.

Requirements: 

    — Dancers must be eligible to work in the USA to hold a company position. 

    — Minimum 3 years professional performance experience

    — Experience with Israeli contemporary dance is a plus

    — A desire to collaborate with choreographers hailing from diverse backgrounds

    — A keen interest in contributing to a dynamic artistic process
