PRIVATE AUDITION

(Take the #1 train to 231st Street and transfer to the BX7 or BX10 bus. Get off the last stop.)

BalaSole Dance Company is offering emerging and re-emerging dance artists a chance to perform in the company's opening and closing pieces on August 17 & 18, 2018 at Alvin Ailey Citigroup Theater (NYC).  In this concert, BalaSole will also feature Nicole Corea from Lar Lubovitch Dance Company.  Selection for this performance opportunity requires attending BalaSole's Emerging & Re-Emerging Artist Program private audition on August 4th.

During the private audition, contemporary dance movement phrases will be taught and performed. Up to four (4) participants will be selected to perform in the company's August 17 & 18 concert.  Intermediate to Advance level proficiency in contemporary dance is required.  The goal of this program is to provide emerging and re-emerging artists an opportunity to collaborate and network with other artists, perform and get visibility in a prominent NYC venue, and gain/build professional credential.

Please note this is a non-paid performance opportunity.  However, an unlimited Metrocard to ride the NYC subway/bus system will be provided for the entire duration of the project.  This project requires 8 consecutive days of commitment for rehearsals and performances.  Due to the short duration of this project and the availability of space, the rehearsal dates and times are not negotiable.  See rehearsal and performance schedule below.  Any missed rehearsal will result in your automatic dismissal from the concert.
