DUE FRIDAY! Arts Management Training Internship (Stipend)

Pentacle logo

Pentacle’s new Arts Management Training program (AMT) seeks junior, seniors, graduate-level students or recent graduates who entering the nonprofit arts sector at the start of their professional careers. AMT pairs 3-4 emerging arts administrators from under-represented communities with small companies or non-profits for 10 hours per week of dedicated work in addition to providing the intern one-on-one mentorship from an experienced professional in the field, networking within the Pentacle community, and a stipend for the duration of the three-month program.

The dance field is experiencing an ever-widening income gap in parallel to the larger economic and social landscape. Pentacle recognizes that this creates significant obstacles for emerging arts professionals to secure opportunities for professional development. In addressing the decline of artists able to transition from early to mid-career, a gap that is even wider for artists of color, AMT is aimed at cultivating the next generation of administrators who will steer the field towards increased equity and access across the board.

The pilot session of the Arts Management Training will run March 4 - May 31. Applications are due February 1. Interviews will take place the weeks of February 4 and 11.

TO APPLY: Fill out the application form, and provide a cover letter and resume. Successful applicants will be contacted for an interview during our recruitment period.

Interns must be available to work for their companies 10 hours per week over a 3 month period. All interns are given the option to extend their internship and work with their designated company beyond the program period.

Pentacle is offering the AMT application form in English and Spanish. Please fill out the form that you feel you can best express yourself through writing, though note that the program will be conducted in English.
