PRIVATE AUDITION: For emerging and re-emerging dancers looking to gain professional experience and visibility in a prominent NYC dance venue.

BalaSole Dance Company is offering dance artists a chance to perform in the company's opening and closing pieces through its Emerging/Re-Emerging Artist Program on August 16 & 17, 2019 at Ailey Citigroup Theater.  In this concert, BalaSole will also feature Dance Theatre of Harlem member Stephanie Rae Williams.

During the private audition, up to four (4) participants will be selected to perform in the company's August concert.  The goal of this program is to provide emerging and re-emerging artists an opportunity to collaborate and network with other artists, perform and get visibility in a prominent NYC venue, gain/build professional credential, and attend a private lecture on "Career in Dance."  An advanced proficiency in either modern, contemporary, jazz, or ballet is required.

Please note that this is a non-paid performance opportunity.  However, selected dancers will be provided an unlimited Metrocard to ride the NYC subway/bus system for the duration of the project.  This project requires 8 consecutive days of commitment for rehearsals and performances.  Due to the short duration of this project and the availability of space,  the rehearsal dates and times are not negotiable.  See rehearsal and performance schedule below.  Any missed rehearsal will result in automatic dismissal from the concert.
