APPLY NOW for Groundswell Series!

Groundswell Series is a curated program of pop-up, site-specific professional dance performances happening in outdoor spaces of Brooklyn, New York. We aim to give choreographers an opportunity to present work in challenging, unique spaces; to encourage presence in New York City parks; and to promote dance literacy and appreciation among park-goers and audiences.

Once selected, artists will be assigned a “stage” where they will create and eventually present an original work (10-15 minutes in length). Choreographers will receive a stipend, promotional support, professional photo and video documentation of the performances, and inclusion in the broader Groundswell Series network.

This year's series will take place in Fort Greene Park on June 26 & 27, following COVID-19 restrictions and safety guidelines (https://reopening.dance.nyc/).

Application Deadline: WEDNESDAY, APRIL 21.

If you have any questions, you are welcome to email us at groundswellseries@gmail.com. For more information about Groundswell Series, see our website: https://www.groundswellseries.com/

Groundswell Series does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, gender identity, sexual preference, pregnancy, national origin, disability, or genetic information.
