Teaching Artist(s) - Breakin'/Breakdancing

Bridging Education & Art Together (BEAT) is a nonprofit organization located in Queens that offers arts education programs rooted in Hip Hop culture to youth in under-resourced communities and people with disabilities.

BEAT is proud to employ New York City’s most talented dancers, beatboxers, musicians, and producers as our Teaching Artists (TA’s). At BEAT, we not only advocate for youth to access powerful and culturally responsive programming; we also provide artists with teaching opportunities. We understand that while artists actively pursue their craft through competitions, performances, and tours; they are also committed to sharing their artistry with youth in their communities.

BEAT is currently seeking highly skilled, reliable, and purposeful individuals to join our impressive roster of Teaching Artists as a Breakin’/Breakdance instructor.

BEAT Teaching Artists work with the general population at schools, libraries, community centers; and youth and adults with disabilities. They are part of an organization that is supportive and sustainable. BEAT identifies partnering schools and community organizations, negotiates contracts, and confirms program logistics. This allows the TA to focus on teaching and their own artistry.
