Call for Choreographers! Dance & Music Performance in August *Western Massachusetts*

 

Call for choreographers! Local contemporary dance collective, Venus Wheeler Dance Collective is hosting a multi-disciplinary dance and music free public performance on Saturday, August 21 (tentative date) in an outdoor grassy common area in downtown Amherst, Massashuetts.

We are welcoming submissions for any dance and/or music pieces between 5 - 10 mins in length, from solos to group pieces. There will be electrical plugs available for sound or amps. 

The performance will be lighthearted and family-friendly. Choreographers may apply with previously performed work or present a new prepared work. The performance space is approximately 20' x 20.' This event is free to the public and there will be no compensation.

To apply, please email us your name (and/or name of the company), style of the piece, number of performers, length of the piece, name of the piece, and a link to a video of a past work (YouTube, Vimeo, or a website).

Applications due by July 31st.

Invitation to be in the performance will be sent by 8/5. There is no fee to submit and no fee to perform if accepted.
