OPEN CALL SEEKING LGBTQIA MOVERS/DANCERS FOR MICRO DANCE FILM SERIES

 

 

Queer artist/filmmaker seeking LGBTQIA dancers and dancer/choreographers for an urban micro dance film series. Seeking dancers who have been trained in ballet, modern, hip hop, or self-taught queer movers who love to dance and improvise. This is a body positive project that is both classical and improvisational and aims to incorporate the unique talents of individual artists.

Each 3-5 minute micro dance film with be shot on the streets of NYC and released on social media as part of a collaborative series. This project is a prelude to a larger dance film supported by the Guggenheim Memorial Foundation.

If you are interested in collaborating, please send an email to streetballetfilm@gmail.com with your headshot, resume, or an email telling us about your experience in dance by October 25th, 2021. Once we receive your email, we will request 1-2 videos of your work and/or you dancing to music you like. All videos will remain private and will not be for public use. This is not a paid opportunity currently but may grow into one.
