Spark Movement Collective was founded in 2009 by Chelsea Koenig with a mission to create an accessible dance experiences for audiences, dancers, and collaborators. Now under the artistic directorship of Michelle Thompson Ulerich, the company is actively trying to recruit new board members. Spark's board members are passionate, hard working, communicative, and so integral to the success of the company. We are looking for all walks of life and varied backgrounds and perspectives. The board currently meets on Zoom on the first Wednesday of every month at 7pm for about 1 hour. These meetings are important for sorting out what needs to happen for Spark. There are a few tasks that happen outside of those meeting times, but those tasks can be catered to your availablity and schedule. The board helps with outreach, ticketing, mailchimp, fundraising, website updates, budgeting, grant writing, and advertising. Currently, our board needs help in the area of outreach, ticketing, and mailchimp, but we are looking for anyone who is passionate about our company! If you are interested in learning more please email info@sparkmovementcollective.org . Prospective board members will need to submit a letter of intent explaining why they would like to be on the board and a resume.
