John Passafiume Dancers is seeking a dance artist for a leading role in a new work based on the Oscar Wilde fairy tale, "The Fisherman and His Soul." The work is in development and will not necessarily follow gender norms depicted in the tale. Interested dance artists should be comfortable with partnering, contact improv, exploring material in the rehearsal process, and an expansive range of movement and floor work. Rehearsals can begin in March. Rehearsals and showings of the work will be paid. Rehearsals are held in NYC and Brooklyn. Showings and performances planned as the scale of project is built out.
