Teachers needed for New Pre-Professional & Recreational Dance Program in Ridgefield, NJ

Our New, Award-winning Dance Program at Peak Performing Arts Center in Ridgefield, New Jersey is looking for Teachers, Apprentices and potential Asssistant Directors for our 2022-2023 Season. We offer Recreational up to Pre-Professional Dance Training for children ages 18 months to 18 years old, and follow the American Ballet Theatre National Training Curriculum (Director Certified in Levels Pre-Primary to 5), as well as an engaging and comprehensive Jazz, Hip Hop, Acrobatics and Tap Dance Curriculum. While we are only entering our third season, our Ballet Academy students have been accepted to programs at the School of American Ballet, American Ballet Theatre, Ballet Academy East, Manhattan Youth Ballet, and others, and have been fortunate to enjoy success at competitions and win scholarships and more. We aim to keep expanding our dance program and providing our students with the best dance education possible safely, and in a positive environment. 

We are currently looking for a teacher available weekly Saturdays for any/all of the below:

-We run an average of 15-20 recreational classes a week, and are always seeking positive, organized and engaging Teachers able to work with young children and beginners in all styles.

-Our Competitive Team & Ballet Academy students attend up to 4 competitions/conventions a year and we are always looking for flexible and creative choreographers open to working with students at various ages and levels in all styles.

-Our annual Nutcracker Ballet will begin rehearsals in September 2022 and we would love to hire an additional Choreographer with experience creating story Ballets, who is interested in choreographing sections of the Nutcracker.

-Teachers who may have already have a following of dance students will be given special consideration, as well as the opportunity for Assistant Directorship

Interested teachers may be asked to teach a class to our students, and WILL be compensated for their time as a guest instructor if applicable. Positions would start September 2022 with onboarding August 2022. Prospective Teachers must be able to commit to Saturdays September 2022-June 2023  with time off for holidays and school breaks.
