CONTEMPORARY BALLET/MODERN DANCERS and BREAKDANCE, JAZZ, HIP HOP, ETHNIC DANCERS WHO CAN ACT needed for

THE WORLD PREMIERE of FELICE LESSER DANCE THEATER’S TRAP IST

Professional dancers of major company calibre who can act, of all races, ethnicities, & genders, are sought for the World Premiere of Lesser’s science fiction fantasy, TRAP IST at New York Live Arts, December 1-3. Rehearsals begin in early-Oct in NYC & Jersey City, and go through the premiere. (Dancers must be available Oct 3-Dec 3, so please do not apply if you have conflicts with Nutcrackers, or other rehearsals/performances.)

This multi-media work with dance, a full-length script, video, and interactive technology, takes place in the near future after earth is destroyed, and a rogue A.I. transports a group of dancers as slaves, to a seemingly uninhabited planet. All roles are open to people of any race, gender, ethnicity, unless specified below.

All performers MUST be fully vaccinated and boosted. Proof (vaccine card or Excelsior pass) is required prior to the live audition. Depending on the Covid situation at the time, masks may be required for rehearsals. All performers must be based in the tri-state (NY, NJ, CT) area, and must be legally able to work in the United States. We cannot offer visas.

Please send pix, resumes, and links to recent online dance videos to: flincny@aol.com.  If the company is interested you will be sent an invitation to audition in September. Please indicate the role(s) for which you want to audition in the subject line of your email submission.
