2024 Women in Dance Leadership Conference is accepting submissions for Dance on Film created by female/woman dance artists to present their work in Los Angeles, CA. Selected films will be shared with Women in Dance International Film Festival in Japan.

Submission Deadline – January 31, 2024

Selection Confirmation Date – April 15, 2024

Conference Date – October 17 to October 19, 2024

Submission Guidelines 

1) The film must be created, directed, and choreographed by woman
2) Must be between 5-10 minutes in length
3) Any movement form is welcomed and encouraged
4) Only submit a complete work, please no excerpts or longer work that needs edits as these submissions will not be considered
5) If submit a link that is password protected, please provide the correct password
6) A $10 Application fee is required for each film submission
7) The performers do not have to be all women cast
8) Please use either Youtube, Vimeo, Dropbox Link, or Google Drive to submit your work
9) Make sure your work does not exceed the maximum length. Pieces that are not within the time limit will not be considered.
10) The submission is only complete once the application fee is processed

What is included for selected film creator 

1) Selected film creators will present their work on 10/18/2024 and 10/19/2024 
2) Selected film creator/choreographer will receive a VIP conference pass to all conference events
3) There will be NO production fee once the work is accepted
4) The Selected films will automatically be screened at 7artscafe, Yokohama, Japan in 2024

What is NOT included for selected film creator

1) The selected film creator/choreographer will be responsible to pay for all of their travel and hotel expenses to the conference location in Los Angeles, CA, USA
2) There is no stipend for the selected film creator/choreographer to present the work
