Audition with Artichoke Dance Company

We are seeking new company members to join us for performances beginning in June 2024. Rehearsals begin in May. BIPOC dancers are encouraged to apply.

HOW TO APPLY:

Complete the application form LINKED HERE. You will be asked to upload two videos as Youtube or Vimeo links, a resume, and answer some short questions. Applications are due March 22nd. Earlier applicants receive earlier consideration, however all applicants will be notified by March 26.

AUDITION INFO:

Following the screening process of applications, we will offer invitations to our in-person auditions by March 26. Auditions take place at Mark Morris Dance Center (3 Lafayette Avenue, Brooklyn NY). If invited, you will be assigned a slot for ONE of the following times:

GROUP 1 - March 29th from 3-4:30PM

GROUP 2 - March 29th from 4:45-6:15PM

GROUP 3 - March 30th from 2:15-3:45PM

Please try your best to hold these times available in your calendar until you hear back from us. If you have major conflicts that keep you from attending one of these time slots (work, doctors appointment, etc.) please note this in the question below.

Following the first round of in-person auditions, we will invite a selected group of dancers to attend the callbacks, taking place at Mark Morris Dance Center (3 Lafayette Avenue, Brooklyn NY). Callbacks will happen on March 30th from 4-5:30PM. Please try your best to hold this time available in your calendar until you hear back from us.

ABOUT THE POSITION:

Dancers that are hired will begin with rehearsals in May and performances in June. Starting salary is $22/hour with lock step increases throughout the first year.
