Seeking a Part-Time Rehearsal Assistant

JOB DESCRIPTION

This person will join the Artistic Team of McKoy Dance Project || MDP to ensure that MDP’s repertoire is well rehearsed while ensuring the dancers of MDP feel supported in the studio with the coaching needed to excel artistically. The role of Rehearsal Assistant is responsible for assisting the Artistic Director and MDP’s choreographers during the process of creating and restaging ballets. The Rehearsal Assistant will also be designated to run a number of rehearsals on their own and may be expected to teach company class as needed. There's an opportunity to be promoted to the role of Assistant Rehearsal Director over time. 

COMPENSATION

The role is compensated at $18/hr and scheduled on a “need-basis”. Need based employment with MDP constitutes working whenever the dancers are in season for performances and engagements.

Ideal candidates have danced professionally, strong leadership skills, a desire to mentor and support the growth of artists, and love creating impactful work through teamwork and collaboration. We seek an organized, detailed, and attentive professional to help create success in MDP’s mission. BIPOC and Queer bodies are HIGHLY encouraged to apply!
