School at Peridance Coordinator

We're seeking a School at Peridance Coordinator for our Children's Program. As the coordinator, you'll oversee daily activities, manage communication with parents and teachers, coordinate performances and events, handle registrations and financial records, and collaborate with the Managing Director on future planning. 

 

Responsibilities:

Day-to-day operations: Overseeing the smooth running of all program activities, including class schedules, studio management, and student supervision.

Parent communication: Acting as the primary point of contact for parents, addressing inquiries, providing updates on their child's progress, and ensuring a positive parent-school relationship.

Performance coordination: Planning and organizing studio showings and parent observation weeks, including logistics, scheduling, and coordination with instructors and students/families. Planning and executing performances, including costume ordering, logistics, scheduling and coordination with instructors, students/families and theater crew. Coordinating with Box Office and PCDC Company Manager regarding ticket sales.

Teacher liaison: Facilitating communication between teachers and program administration, ensuring clear directives, providing support, and addressing any issues or concerns.

Substitute teacher management: Identifying and securing substitute teachers when needed, maintaining continuity in class instruction, and ensuring quality teaching standards are upheld.

Future planning: Collaborating with the Managing Director to develop long-term strategies and initiatives for program growth and improvement, contributing ideas, insights, and feedback for academic year and summer programming.

Student registration and records: Managing student registrations, maintaining accurate records of enrollment, attendance, and financial transactions, and ensuring compliance with registration procedures.

Website maintenance: Coordinating with the Media Director to keep the program's website up to date, providing timely updates on classes, events, and other relevant information.

Reporting: Compiling and presenting regular reports to the Managing Director on program activities, performance metrics, and areas for improvement. Communicating with operations manager regarding any studio/building issues. Communicating with payroll regarding any admin hours to be paid to faculty.

 

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Dance, Arts Administration, Education, or related field preferred but not required.

Experience working in a dance education setting or similar role.

Strong organizational and communication skills.

Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Proficiency in Google Workplace, JotForm, and database management software.

Background in Dance and Education.
