What is CENTRIFUGE?

Centrifuge | a choreographic hub is a premier space for professional choreographers eager to elevate their craft through intensive, high-speed experimentation. Each week, you'll be part of an exciting, process-driven environment where you collaborate with a rotating roster of renowned guest artists. This invitation-only lab offers a unique opportunity to delve into innovative movement generation methods, working alongside diverse dancers and fellow choreographers in spontaneous pairings. Over four sessions, you’ll explore fresh perspectives, refine your techniques, and push the boundaries of your creativity. This is not just a workshop; it's a vibrant community of passionate artists committed to exploring the endless possibilities of dance. Join us to ignite your inspiration and hone your skills in a setting designed for growth, exploration, and artistic exchange.

About your host:

Omri Drumlevich is a movement artist and educator and the founder of Blisspoint, an initiative focused on using movement and dance to build deep connections within individuals and communities. Omri has held various leadership roles, including producer, artistic director, cast representative, project manager, and rehearsal director. He began his career with Batsheva Dance Company, where he trained in Gaga and toured extensively from 2010 to 2017. After Batsheva, Omri performed as Macbeth in Punchdrunk's Sleep No More from 2018 to 2024. Over the past decade, he has shared his expertise as a guest artist at institutions like Princeton University, the University of Illinois, and Clark Atlanta University. Omri is a senior Gaga instructor, served as the rehearsal director for Batsheva Dance Company in 2021, and continues to teach and stage Ohad Naharin’s work. As an independent choreographer and director, his work has been supported and commissioned by the Curtain Up Festival, The American DFA, and The Lewis Center for the Arts. Now based in New York, Omri leads Blisspoint with a mission to inspire, connect, and transform through innovative movement practices and workshops, as well as impactful dance, film, and theater.
