The Isadora Duncan Dance Foundation is pleased to present “Isadora Goes Chelsea!”, an exciting series of pop-up immersive dance performances featuring Lori Belilove & The Isadora Duncan Dance Company and taking place February 13th-16th, 2025, in Chelsea, New York at 141 W. 26th St. on the Ground Floor.
Directed by Lori Belilove as the first in a series of Isadora150 programs designed to honor Duncan’s legacy, the event will embrace contemporary artistic collaborations. Join us on those dates to experience an immersive performance merging Duncan’s timeless dance style and repertoire with Chelsea’s artistic energy.
This unique event features "Living Sculpture Gallery Performances" in which the Company dancers are positioned like living sculpture who gradually animate to stunning dancing, enhanced by dramatic lighting. The setting echoes the avant-garde “happenings” of mid-20th-century New York, blurring the lines between performer and audience.
Unique items will be on sale, including newly published books on Isadora and related topics, musical selections on CD, totes, scarves and more. Gala Night includes a Silent Auction with juicy items TBA.
If intersted in volunteering, please email gwyn@isadoraduncan.org and mention you wish to volunteer in subject line of email.
