State of NYC Dance - Research Roundtables Online

This event has already occurred.

Dance/NYC is preparing to update its State of NYC Dance report, based on the New York State Cultural Data Project, and for the first time track activity, financial, and workforce trends over time. As part of this process, on June 27, 2013, Dance/NYC and research partner Fractured Atlas convened a group of researchers, consultants, and service organization leaders for two roundtable discussions about ongoing initiatives and future directions in dance research.

Today we are bringing the discussion online. Download discussion content and guiding questions.

This is a working document, and we invite you to provide feedback, suggest additional interlocutors, and share your thoughts on how the research can be used to guide policy, funding, and management practices. The value of the research is determined not only by the data available, but by the efforts of those doing the mining and messaging. Thank you for lending your expertise and vision to the work.
