Dr. Simbo Ige is the Assistant Commissioner for the Bureau of Health Equity Capacity Building at the New York City’s Department of Health. In this role she works to increase capacity of community partners, and other institutions to address health inequities across New York City. She also serves as the Branch Director for COVID-19 Community and Partner Engagement for the agency's COVIID-19 vaccination program to ensure equity in access and uptake of vaccines by all New Yorkers.

Dr. Melody Hrubes is board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation as well as Sports Medicine and practices at Rothman Orthopaedic Institute. She is the Director of the Division of the Non-Operative Sports Medicine for Rothman – New York. Additionally, Dr. Hrubes currently serves as the Medical Director for the Radio City Rockettes, as a team physician for the United States Soccer Federation and has previously worked with United States Gymnastics.

Dr. Hrubes has worked with multiple dance and theater companies and is on the board of the Performing Arts Medicine Association, serving as the Chair of the Education Committee. She is an active member and serves on committees of the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine, American College of Sports Medicine, International Association for Dance Medicine, and American Association of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.

Dr. Hrubes prefers to care for dancers as part of a holistic medical team, partnering with athletic trainers, physical therapists, acupuncture, massage and other physicians for injury prevention, treatment and performance optimization. She has experience with broad-based musculoskeletal injuries with particular interest in injury prevention and biomechanical rehabilitation in athletes, performing artists, endurance sports, and female athletes.

Dr. Sheyi Ojofeitimi is the Director of Therapy Services and the Covid Task Force Medical Liaison at Alvin Ailey American Dance Foundation, CEO of Synthesis Physical Therapy, and Co-founder of the Dance Ready Project. A licensed physical therapist for 20+ years Dr. Sheyi has worked with Ailey School staff, students, Ailey II, Ailey I, Cedar Lake, Limón, and several Broadway & Off-Broadway shows including Wicked, Once on this Island, Avenue Q and Free Style Love Supreme. For ten years she was part of a biomechanics team at the Analysis of Dance And Movement (ADAM) Center conducting research on movement and injury patterns in dancers. She is author 17 peer-reviewed journal articles.

Dr. Sheyi is a Certified Functional Manual Therapist (CFMT), Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) and has advanced training in the Thoracic Ring Approach. She trained in visceral mobilization, craniosacral therapy, and integrative dry needling (IDN). She is a specialist in the treatment of lumbo-pelvic/sacro-coccygeal dysfunctions and has a passionate interest in connection between dysbiosis (gut dysfunction) and chronic pain/disease.

Dr. Sheyi received a Bachelor of Arts from Fordham University, Master of Physical Therapy from West Virginia University, and Doctor Physical Therapy from Alabama State University.
