Do you love dance?
Are you interested in learning about arts management?

Interning for WHITE WAVE is a great opportunity to take a look behind the scenes of a vibrant NY dance company in the non-profit sector!

WHITE WAVE is looking for individuals who are, first and foremost, interested in the NYC dance community, who are proficient in Microsoft Office and web-savvy, as well as confident to represent our company in a friendly and outgoing manner.

WHITE WAVE Dance Brief Overview:
Formed in 1988, WHITE WAVE Dance is a non-profit arts organization whose main goal is to be a catalyst for change in the NY dance scene. From its full-length dance productions to dance education and outreach, WHITE WAVE accomplishes its mission by providing opportunities for dancers and choreographers to create, rehearse, perform and network with each other, engaging in an ongoing dialogue that pushes the art form forward.

After 14 successful years of operation in DUMBO, WHITE WAVE recently relocated its administrative operations to Bedford-Stuyvesant (J train, Kosciuszko Street), and is looking to  transition into a new, permanent home in the second half of the year. 

Activities:
Interns/Volunteers will have a unique opportunity to assist in various aspects of the pre-production of WHITE WAVE's upcoming 2015 fall festival season, which includes:

- DUMBO Dance Festival (Sept. 24th-27th)
- WAVE RISING SERIES (Oct. 21st-Nov. 8th)

Their tasks will include, but are not limited to
* The development and distribution of application materials/Calls for Proposals
* Assisting in marketing and PR activities such as social media outreach and online marketing
* Data entry, web-based research, and other general office activities

Internships are unpaid, but can be used for academic credit. Interns should expect to work 10-20 hours per week. The work schedule for interns is flexible within our office hours, Mon-Fri, 10am-6pm.Intern for WHITE WAVE today!
