mignolo arts center is a brand new, state of the art, 28x40 foot ADA approved rehearsal studio, gallery, and performance space in Metuchen, NJ. With wall-to-wall mirrors, high ceilings, a marley floor, two bathrooms, and a convenient downtown location that's walking distance from the train line, the space provides an ideal setting in which to produce creative work. Dance artists selected for this residency will receive 20 hours of free studio space, which can be used to develop a new dance work or to conduct open-ended movement-based research. Artists will be given the option to present a small, informal showing at the end of the residency, and may also choose to engage in feedback sessions facilitated by mignolo artists. Resident artists will be featured on our website and social media.

Dance artists at all career stages are welcome and encouraged to apply. Interdisciplinary artists and arts collectives are also encouraged as long as dance is a primary element of the artist or collective's work. Residency scheduling will be worked out with selected artists.
